Respite Care
Respite Care is available at the May Creek's Memory Care Cottages as a support for Leech Lake area families and residents. Respite is often time taken by the caregiver for rest & rejuvenation from the demands of caring for someone with dementia. We offer a furnished room and our full assisted living services on a temporary basis for those desiring respite.
Respite Care may be appropriate when:
- The main caregiver needs to be away for a period of time.
- A short or extended recovery is needed after surgery or rehab.
- After a hospital stay if assistance can't be accomplished at home.
Respite Care includes:
- Three meals, including snacks
- Furnished room and linens
- Administering medications.
- Assistance with hygiene and dressing.
- Laundry services.
- Weekly housekeeping
- 24 hour staff
Additional personal care services can be contracted according to resident need and desire. An estimate of rent, recommended services and cost will be discussed during the Registered Nurse interview and evaluation. The Registered Nurse collects information about their needs, health history and personal preferences, to plan how best we can meet those needs while temporarily staying at the Memory Care Cottages.
